Can I Change My Album Art Distrokid

DistroKid now lets users edit releases on it d.i.y. distribution platform. Users can now change song titles, album art, release date, etc. without having to delete and reupload each track.

Can I change my album art on Spotify?

Select “Edit” or “Edit Playlist.” Under the playlist cover, tap “Change Image.” You’ll have the option to select an image from your device gallery or take a new photo. After you’ve selected an image, Spotify will allow you to crop it into a square.

Do you need artwork for DistroKid?

The minimum size requirement for album art is 1000×1000 pixels. Ideally, album art should be perfectly square, and 3000×3000 pixels. If your artwork is smaller, or rectangular, we’ll automatically fix it for you–but there’s a risk that our fixed version won’t look exactly as you intended.

Can multiple artists use the same account on DistroKid?

Yes! You can do collaborations at both the album level and the track level with DistroKid.

How do I change my artist picture on Spotify?

As a Spotify For Artists user, you can now upload and change your artist image directly from Spotify. Just click the blue camera icon next to your artist name at the top of your dashboard to launch the image editor inside the Spotify desktop app.

How long does it take to change artwork on Spotify?

For Art Work and Audio changes we will email you instructions on how to replace your content. Spotify will reflect changes, but it could take at least 2 business days. iTunes, and Amazon Music generally process changes, but this may take up to two (2) weeks.

Can I use all caps on DistroKid?

Can I Upload a Song/Album/Artist name in All Capital or Lowercase Letters? You can use the capitalization/stylization that you want for your artist name, titles, etc. Please note that if you choose to use non-standard capitalization on your release.

Should I upload WAV or MP3 to DistroKid?

Audio files should be WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC, AIFF, or Windows Media (WMA). If you’re sending a WAV, 16-bit, 44.1 kHz WAV is typical but pretty much anything works. If you have a track that’s larger than that, consider converting it to FLAC format before uploading to DistroKid.

Does Spotify accept 24bit?

Spotify Community Even though most distributors accept 48kHz sample rate / 24 bit audio or higher, Spotify converts all audio to 44.1kHz sample rate / 16 bit audio (please correct me if this is untrue).

Does DistroKid normalize?

DistroKid’s upload form includes a checkbox for “Loudness Normalization.” When you select this optional extra, DistroKid will automatically adjust the level and headroom of your audio to Spotify’s recommended settings, -14dB integrated LUFS with -1dB true peak maximum.

How do I upload an album to DistroKid?

Just upload the single first, and then upload the entire album (including the single) as a separate release. Once the full release is in streaming services, you can choose to leave the single, or remove it and only have the album version available.

Can two artists upload the same song?

If you are two separate artists working together on a project or two, you need to list your artist name as the primary artist and list the second artist name on the release as a featured artist. This will ensure that the release is seen on both artist profiles in the music stores.

Can I have two DistroKid accounts?

Are multiple DistroKid accounts allowed to upload the same audio recording? No. Due to how the streaming services pay, and other complexities, we do not support the same audio recording to be uploaded by more than one DistroKid user.

How many artists can you have on DistroKid?

Only $19.99 per year for unlimited songs. The Label plan starts at $79.99 per year and allows you to upload up to 100 artists’ unlimited songs.

How many followers do you need on Spotify to be verified?

How do I get Spotify artist account DistroKid?

Sign into DistroKid. Click “Goodies” in the upper right. Click “Special Access” Click “Spotify for Artists” and follow the instructions.

Is TuneCore better than DistroKid?

DistroKid is much less expensive, and gets your music into streaming services faster. TuneCore charges $49.99 per year per album. DistroKid would charge you only $19.99 per year. DistroKid is an even better deal if you want to upload a lot of singles (1-song albums).

Does DistroKid add metadata?

No. You will be asked for relevant info (track title, genre, cover art) on the upload page for your release, which is what streaming services will use for your release. Any prior embedded info will be disregarded by streaming services.

How long does DistroKid fixer take?

How long will it take for services to fix my mapping issues. Services typically process these requests within several days, but it can sometimes take several weeks to complete them. We won’t get notification if/when it’s done, so the best thing to do is just keep checking the store when you have the chance.
