Can.I Do.Chalk Paste On Canvas

Most people think that because you’re using chalk products that it just goes on chalkboards but you can actually use Chalk Couture Products on other surfaces like glass, wood, mirrors, tile, canvas, white boards, burlap.

Can I use chalk paste on canvas?

Start by removing all staples from the back of your canvas with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. Just peel your transfer from the backing paper and apply the to canvas. Press down well. Stir your Chalkology Paste well and dab a bit onto the transfer.

What surfaces can you use chalk paste on?

Paste can be used on almost any hard surface and it is usually removable from each of those surfaces. You can use Paste on a chalkboard, wood, tin, glass, plastic, tile…. I have even seen people use paste on their front door, outside of their oven, chairs and furniture.

How do you chalk a canvas?

Apply chalk to a canvas using either a dry or wet technique. For a dry application, simply draw on the canvas, and use a paper towel, finger or sponge to blend the colors. Follow the grain of the canvas to prevent the white from showing through the pastels. Prepare the canvas before using the wet technique.

Can you use liquid chalk on canvas?

Just let the liquid chalk dry for 1-2 minutes before adding the next color. On paper, canvas, cloth or other porous surfaces, the marker leaves a nice matte finish; an opaque mark that is permanent and light-fast. They are compatible with dry erase and wet erase markers on the same board.

To seal Chalk Couture ink on glass you simply heat set the glass. Please be sure your glass is oven safe before heating. To heat first allow the ink to air dry at the least overnight. Then place in a cold oven and set the temperature to 350, once the oven reaches temp leave for 30 minutes.
