Does CerMark work with fiber laser?

Relate to inquiry, unfortunately the Cermark tape will NOT work in regular conditions with a fiber laser. Or if not CW the laser system and offers only pulse mode the system must have the ability to increase the frequency to more than 160,000 which should enable the laser system to mark using LMM-6018 Tape.

How does TherMark work?

The patented TherMark method uses a laser as the heat source to fuse the ceramic glaze instead of a kiln. All this happens in microseconds as opposed to hours, consuming far less “energy” and, consequently, without compromising or damaging the material being marked.

Does CerMark wash off?

Thank you in advance. What type of metal are you attempting to apply the spray onto? Thermark/Cermark wiping off with cleaning is the result of one of the following: 1) Improper power/speed applied during processing if it wipes off, it’s generally too little power and/or too fast of a speed.

Can CerMark be removed?

After laser marking, excess TherMark material must be removed. Proper removal of the LMM/LMC material will depend on which substrate you are marking. For example, stainless steel and aluminum can be submerged in water or directly rinsed, but alloys such as raw brass or bronze should not.

What is CerMark made of?

CerMark is made up of inert materials, such as, finely pulverized glass and metal particles. It does not contain any heavy metals and it is cadmium-free. This simply means that it is safe to wash down the sink in the cleaning process, contact with skin will not be harmful and special ventilation is not necessary.

Can you use CerMark on acrylic?

What materials can a CO2 laser mark and engrave? Wood, paper, glass, acrylic, leather and stone? Check. While under normal circumstances you would need a fiber laser to affect those materials, there is a remarkable product to treat metals for engraving with a CO2 laser called Cermark.

Does CerMark work on titanium?

CerMark® ULTRA aerosol is an ethanol-based all-in-one black laser marking aerosol that allows for faster drying time. It is recommended for almost any metal substrate including stainless steel, brass, aluminum, titanium, copper, chrome plating, nickel and similar metals.
