Does compressed air get cold?

If you have used canned air, you’ve noticed the peculiar reaction that occurs: the can gets cold and, in some cases, frost forms on the can and the straw attached to the nozzle.

What is the temperature of compressed air?

Compressed air is no exception; it can become as hot as 300 degrees F. Without cooling, this level of heat can damage equipment, hurt employees and compromise products.
