Use a 3D printed brim: Brims are used to increase the surface area that the print has in contact with the build surface. More contact equals more holding force, thus using a brim always improves print adhesion.
How do you adhere 3D prints?
Superglue. For most jobs, cyanoacrylate, or superglue, is the best option for gluing 3D printed parts together. It’s an easy-to-use glue that cures quickly. You can get excellent results, a strong bond, and an almost invisible seam.
How can I make my prints adhere better?
A favorite trick here at the Simplify3D office is to cover the platform with strips of blue painter’s tape and a thin layer of glue from a common glue stick. This works especially well for printing PLA on unheated beds. Kapton tape, or Polyimide film, works well for ABS.

What is adhesion Cura?
A nice feature in Cura to help preventing warping is called “Brim”. It will place a single layer thick flat area around your object, thus creating a bigger adhesion surface. This way the warping on your print will be minimized. You can find it under “Support” > “Platform adhesion type”.
Why do my 3D prints curl?
Warping occurs due to material shrinkage while 3D printing, which causes the corners of the print to lift and detach from the build plate. When plastics are printed, they firstly expand slightly but contract as they cool down. If material contracts too much, this causes the print to bend up from the build plate.
How do I stop my 3D printer from curling?

Does PVC glue work on PLA?
I’ve had success gluing a printed PLA part to PVC using a glue from Selleys called All Plastic Fix. It’s a two step procedure where you use a priming pen/marker on both areas to be joined then simply apply the cyanoacrylate glue to one side and hold pressure on the join for around 30 secs.

Is PLA soluble in acetone?
Yes, acetone can dissolve PLA but only under certain conditions. You might get better results with other solvents, but there isn’t one that reliably works for all types of PLA filament. PLA is an excellent 3D printing material, but it does not offer a lot of post-processing options.
Is polyurethane a glue?

Does JB Weld work on PLA?

What temp should PLA be?
The general range for PLA is around 190 to 220 °C. If your layers aren’t adhering to one another, heating up your hot end can usually fix it, but be careful: If the extruder is too hot, the PLA filament can become extra soft and flimsy.
What is the best bed temperature for PLA?
As a general starting point, PLA tends to adhere well to a bed that is heated to 60-70C, while ABS generally works better if the bed is heated to 100-120C. You can adjust these settings in Simplify3D by clicking on “Edit Process Settings” and then selecting the Temperature tab.
