Can Schluter be bent?

Certain Schlüter profiles with radius perforations are available for the protection of contoured edges. To achieve quick and neat bending of most profiles with radius perforations, use the specially designed Schlüter®-RUMA bending machine.

Can you curve Schluter trim?

Can you add tile trim after tiling?

Spread fresh tile adhesive all along the cleaned up edge and push the trim in. Clean all excess adhesive and re-grout if needed. Be gentle with the multi tool though.

Do you put tile trim on before tiling?

If you are going to use a trim to finish your edges, we recommend matching the colour and material trim with the actual tile before you begin installing. Do you grout between tile and metal trim?

How thick should tile trim be?

The trim should be at or slightly lower than the edge of the tile once it is installed. For example a tile that is 3/8″ (10mm) thick should work with a 3/8″ trim. However tile thickness can vary so it is a good idea to check the height before final installation. Tile trims are easy to install.

Can I cut Schluter with miter saw?

Plastic profiles may be cut using Schluter™-SNIPS or similar. A clamp or cutting jig can be used to secure the profile and help ensure a straight, clean cut. Finally, aluminum profiles can also be cut using a chop saw or miter saw with a non-ferrous blade.

How do you finish tile without bullnose?

Caulk the Edge To give the edge a clean, water-tight finish, place a piece of masking tape one grout joint away from the edge of the last tile. Fill this gap between the tile and the masking tape with a smooth bead of caulk. This will finish the edge without extra tiles.
