Does roof felt go over or under drip edge?

1 Answer. It depends on where the drip edge is. At the side, or gabels, of a roof, the drip edge goes over the roofing felt. At the bottom of the roof, the drip edge goes under the roofing felt.

Should drip edge be tight against fascia?

A vertical drip edge lip extends down roughly 1 5/8″ and as Steve points out, should not be set tight against the fascia board or water may run behind the gutter and down the fascia, inviting leaks and rot.

Do you overlap drip edge?
