Can you transfer vinyl to fabric?

Adhesive vinyl is very similar to a sticker. Just as with a heat transfer vinyl, adhesive vinyl is available in a wide choice of colors and different finishes. It is a good choice for smooth surfaces but is not a good choice for fabrics. While it may stick initially it will not withstand washing and will soon peel off.

Can you iron on vinyl to clothes?

Don’t worry, you can use a household iron to apply your heat transfer vinyl. Some HTV does apply at different settings, but standard heat transfer vinyl should be applied on the “linen” setting of your household iron. Instead of applying your HTV by ironing like you iron a shirt, you want to mirror a heat press.
