Is Sapphie And Ceramic Bezels The Same Thing

Some watches are described as having a sapphire bezel so I was wondering what the main differences are between the two and which the forum prefers. As far as I can see, the sapphire bezels have a sapphire coating so any lume sits underneath the glass whereas with a ceramic bezel, the lume sits on top.
