To use alginate, you mix it with water (see “Good Water vs. Bad Water” below). Some of our alginate formulas mix up to a thin consistency and some mix to a fairly thick consistency. Once mixed you have a limited amount of time to use it because alginate changes from a liquid to a rubbery solid after a period of time.
