3D Forge will bring your Hero Forge or Desktop Forge mini to life. We only print in tough resins on mSLA printers, with fantastic detail at a 50 micron resolution standard, optionally at 20 micron when details are an absolute must! . Our resin is far less brittle than most, meaning less chance of breakage.

Which quality setting gives you fastest 3D print?

What plastic does Heroforge use?

Our Plastic miniatures are an acrylic plastic coated with gray primer. This material is light and rigid with light print layer texture.

How good is Heroforge color?

I was really impressed with all the different colour options in the colour tool. Across the top, you can see different materials such as cloth, metal and hair. I thought these options meant that the mini would have different plastic types for the different textures. However, that isn’t the case at the moment.

Why is Hero forge not working?

What happens if you print PLA too hot?

The general range for PLA is around 190 to 220 °C. If your layers aren’t adhering to one another, heating up your hot end can usually fix it, but be careful: If the extruder is too hot, the PLA filament can become extra soft and flimsy. This can cause your prints to be messy and droopy.

What is a good nozzle temp for PLA?

To find the optimal nozzle temperature we recommend starting with a temperature right in the middle of the manufacturer’s suggested settings. If the manufacturer recommends 190°C – 220°C, printing at 205°C is a good starting point. Based on the quality of the print we suggest adjusting ± 5°C at a time.

Why is my PLA curling up?

Warping occurs due to material shrinkage while 3D printing, which causes the corners of the print to lift and detach from the build plate. When plastics are printed, they firstly expand slightly but contract as they cool down. If material contracts too much, this causes the print to bend up from the build plate.
