What kind of wood do you use for a Glowforge?
The choices range from Maple to Walnut, to Red Oak, all materials for which the Glowforge app already provides cut and engrave settings. While the wood from Home Depot does not come with masking, I have found two viable options on Amazon.
Can you use any wood for Glowforge?

There is also proofgrade hardwood which would give you the wood grain you are looking for as it is solid wood throughout.

Can you laser cut tape?
We have a range of Double Sided Tapes from 3M & Tesa, that are designed to withstand high temperature heat without catching fire or burning when being Laser Cut. When a Laser is engraving or cutting over a masked piece of wood / timber, the tape is vaporized (does not interfere with those processes).
