Is Schluter Kerdi worth it?

Great product. It takes a little longer than the traditional mud shower bed and water-proofing methods, but it is worth it. My shower is water-tight, and the sloped floor drains water perfectly. The finished product looks great.

Why is there a shortage of KERDI-BOARD?

We are dealing with a raw material shortage as a result of COVID, and we are unable to source part of the materials required for our Kerdi-Board production.

Can I use tile adhesive on KERDI-BOARD?

Since KERDI is impervious, it does not deprive the mortar of its moisture. In general, modified thin-set mortar is not recommended to set ceramic and stone tile, including large format tiles, over the KERDI membrane.

Does Kerdi fix expire?

Schluter®-KERDI-FIX is a single component, waterproof sealing and bonding compound with a silane-modified polymer base. Unopened packages of KERDI-FIX can be stored in a cool location that is above freezing temperatures for up to 18 months. Once the cartridge has been opened, the material has a limited shelf life.

Do I need to prime drywall before KERDI?
